Salary

£10 an hour for minimum 40 hours a month, with a 6-month review about possible full-time role.

Job description

We are looking to recruit a Web Developer with good practical experience to program websites and web-based software tools. The position will mainly consist of developing and maintaining websites as well as search engine optimisation tasks.

Our projects include brochure sites, e-commerce sites and online software tools, with content management systems either built from scratch or modified.

You will need to work well in a team, be able to manage your time efficiently and have good problem-solving skills.

The job will start part-time but with a view to developing a full-time role for the right candidate as the company grows, with salary and responsibility increasing accordingly. The role would suit a final-year university student taking an appropriate degree and looking to take the first step towards suitable employment.

Required skills

XHTML, PHP, CSS, MySQL, Javascript, thorough knowledge of web standards

Good working knowledge of

Photoshop or Fireworks or a similar graphics editing package
